Just weeks after FortniteMare brought some Halloween spirit to Battle Royale, players are already wondering if the regular Christmas event, Winterfest, is on the cards again this year.

Expected Fortnite Winterfest 2022 Start Date

There is no official start date for Fortnite Winterfest 2022 yet, but we would expect it to arrive on December 15th, 2022. This will be about a week after Fortnite Chapter 4 launches, so don’t be surprised to see some jolly cosmetics in the new Battle Pass.

Winterfest 2021 started on 16th December and will run till 6th January, so players can expect a similar schedule this time around.

What to expect at Fortnite Winterfest 2022

If Epic follows the trend of previous years, Fortnite players can expect the map to get a new winter look in the Christmas event. The island will be covered in white snow, which can be picked up and launched at teammates and enemies alike.

The POIs will then be decorated to make them feel more festive, with fairy lights hanging from the buildings and Christmas trees scattered throughout the many rooms. Christmas gift items are also expected to return, providing valuable loot to you and your team when thrown on the ground.

Players can look forward to themed in-game challenges to complete along with a host of free daily rewards from the main menu, as well as new festive skins to unlock.
