GTA Online players have been subject to harmful game data corruption due to hacker exploits, and Rockstar has now sought to reassure gamers.
While some players have been lapping to add recent GTA Online content such as taxi work and roaming gun vans, others have had their gameplay corrupted by mischievous hackers.
For at least a few weeks now, GTA Online players just wanting to explore Los Santos and enjoy their leisure time have had their accounts subject to an exploit that corrupts game data and essentially kills online characters and characters. Able to remove working hours.
Thankfully, Rockstar Games has decided enough is enough and has come forward to take some action. In an effort to put players at ease and scare hackers away, the devs have addressed the problems in a tweet.
The tweet in question came from the official Rockstar Games Twitter account on January 23, 2022, and talked about how the company is not only aware of the issue but also wants to fix it very soon.
“We are aware of possible new adventures gta online for PC, which we intend to resolve in an upcoming planned security-related title update. If you believe you’ve experienced a related issue, please contact Rockstar Support,” the tweet said in full.
So it looks like the upcoming GTA Online will be purely focused on rectifying the current situation, with Rockstar describing it as a “security related title update”.
Don’t expect it to pump up the game with new features and content in the same way that weekly updates tend to.
It’s unclear what this could mean for hackers attempting to push this exploit further, and GTA Online players affected by the exploit will have to wait and see if something will happen for them and their lost data. can be done or not.
