Pokemon Scarlet & Violet December 1 update patch notes: Fixes for Performance Issues & Ranked Mode

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet fans have an improved version of the game thanks to the December 1, 2022 patch, which fixes several aspects of the gameplay. Plus, Ranked Season 1 begins, and we have the full patch notes for the 1.1.0 update.

Despite only being out for a few weeks, Pokémon fans are royally hooked on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and are obsessing over everything Game Freak’s latest game has to offer.

From tense Tera Raid battles and events that offer great rewards to taking down the Elite Four and assembling a fearsome group capable of becoming Paldia’s Pokémon Champion, there’s a lot to do in Scarlet and Violet.

One aspect of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that simply can’t be overlooked though is the inevitable visual headaches caused by the low framerate, constant pop-ins, and endless list of visual glitches.

It looks like Nintendo and Game Freak are trying to fix this and the new December 1st patch improves some aspects of the game.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet 1.1.0 Update Performance Enhancements and Ranks Season 1

The first notable difference after the update for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is that “select bug fixes” have been targeted and possibly removed.

Among a handful of changes, it doesn’t say anywhere specifically that the framerate or any major technical issues have been fixed, but Game Freak and Nintendo are “working on improvements”. Play,

As well as addressing the performance problems, more competitive Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players will be pleased to know that the ranked aspect of the game is now in full swing.

The update introduces Season 1 of Ranked Battles and players can now go head-to-head in Battle Stadiums, with more details revealed inside Scarlet and Violet.

• Other selected bugs have been fixed.
