Overwatch 2 Season 2 will bring the Year of the Rabbit event to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Here’s everything we know so far about Overwatch 2 Year of the Rabbit, from the launch date to the skins up for grabs.

Overwatch 2 hasn’t been out for a long time, but developer Blizzard is clearly trying to cram in as many seasonal events as possible. Junkenstein’s Revenge brought Halloween to the hero shooter, and Winter Wonderland Christmas festivities are coming in season 2.

Once the Christmas festivities are over, the gods declare that another event will come to coincide with the Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year) – the Year of the Rabbit.

The Year Of The Rabbit Will Begin As Confirmed In The Overwatch 2 Season 2 Road Map January 17, 2023Just a few weeks after Winter Wonderland ends.

So far, only one skin has been confirmed for the Rabbit Year event. The Season 2 trailer showed that DPS hero Mei will be getting a rabbit-themed outfit that will likely be available in the store.

Seasonal promos like this usually add tons of cosmetics for tons of different heroes, so be sure to keep an eye on the store to see what pops up.

In the 2022 Lunar New Year event, players can also unlock an epic skin by playing a certain number of matches, but there is no news on whether the same will happen this year.

We expect even more reveals as Season 2 arrives, so we’ll be sure to update this section as soon as they are announced.

Last year’s Lunar New Year Celebration came with three new game modes for players to try out – Bounty Hunter, Capture the Flag and Capture the Flag Blitz. There’s a good chance that Year of the Rabbit will also be making some new playlists for a limited time.
