Modern Warfare 2 players find Harry Potter Easter Egg ahead of Hogwarts Legacy


Modern Warfare 2 has also caught the Harry Potter and Hogwarts legacy bug as fans of the CoD shooter spotted an interesting Easter egg.


While Modern Warfare 2 was one of the biggest releases of 2022, early 2023 already awaits the monumental release of Hogwarts Legacy – a fully realized RPG set in the Harry Potter universe.

Amidst all the controversy Hogwarts Legacy is stirring up, there’s a lot to be excited about. While Modern Warfare 2 is progressing well with the delayed Season 2 content set to add new modes, maps and more to the game.

Now, both the franchises have come together to share with Modern Warfare 2 players a unique little secret to pay homage to the Harry Potter series in the FPS game.

JarlOfRivia told Modern Warfare 2 players on the game’s subreddit page that “Nova has a Harry Potter tattoo.”

Real name Neela Brown, Nova is one of Modern Warfare 2’s operators and she clearly makes no secret about her love for the wizarding world.

In JarlOfRivia’s post, he shared a photo of Nova’s arm, and in it you can clearly see the Death Hallows symbol on his left arm near the back elbow.

If you’re not familiar with the world of Harry Potter, Deathly Hallows represents the last two books/movies in the official Harry Potter line of media.

There’s Definitely No Fuss About This Easter Egg, So It Looks Like It’s Gone Under The Radar Since Easter of sports Launch, or maybe it’s been added without the players realizing it.

Commenters suggested that the devs may have to cut material if it violates copyright laws, just as the museum map and Hotel Breinburg were tampered with.

However, one user shrugged it off: “I’m fairly certain the Deathly Hallows logo doesn’t meet the originality threshold for copyright protection, so there should be no problem using it in the game. It remains to be seen if the Easter egg stays in the game, but for now at least fans of CoD and Hogwarts Legacy can bond over this inclusion.
