Leak suggests Apex Legends to receive Call of Duty-inspired Hardcore LTM

Apex Legends could be set to get a Call of Duty style hardcore mode, after a leak gave an overview of the potential new Season 15 offering.

Season 15 of Apex Legends is nearing its final week, but before players welcome Season 16, it looks like Respawn Entertainment has some surprises in store.

The Enchanted Collection event already marks the return of control and the controversial addition of Private Matches, and if the rumors are true, more content is set to come. The leak points to the addition of a Call of Duty-inspired Hardcore mode to Apex Legends.

Apex Legends Hardcore Mode is set to be a stripped-down battle royale experience with changed rules that will definitely make survival more difficult.

Apex Legends Hardcore Mode Leaked Details

Leaked text below shared by iLootGames reveals that the rumored Apex Legends Hardcore mode will follow the same rules as Call of Duty’s Classic mode of the same name.

For starters, Apex Legends players have to deal with Limited HUD, Giving players less information and on-screen help will force players to rely on their gun skills in a less forgiving environment.

Next, players have to deal with low overall health and survivability. According to the leak, this translates to all Legends Level 1 armor, no helmet, and armor swapping is disabled, These three adjustments should result in players dying faster than usual.

The leak also reveals a feature that makes Maximum damage to ring dish from the start of the game. This will be an additional rule unique to Apex Legends’ Hardcore mode, which will be more in line with the battle royale style of play.

Fortunately, you will still be able to check your weapon HUD by inspecting the weapon. There would also be a workaround to check how many squads are left with scanning survey beacons. It’s likely that the devs included these features to make the hardcore experience fit the Battle Royale genre.

The leaker points to a January 24th start date, so keep your eyes peeled for a new Apex Legends LTM before the start of Season 16 around February 14th.
