The Master Ball is one of the most sought-after items in every Pokémon game, so here’s how to get your hands on it in Scarlet and Violet.

The Master Ball has been a part of the Pokémon series since Generation 1 and is without a doubt the most powerful Poké Ball available to Trainers. The Glorious Master Ball has an accurate catch rate, allowing players to catch any Pokémon without fail.

The Master Ball is certainly powerful in Scarlet and Violet, but as is the case with any other Pokémon title, there’s only one in the entire game. Once you’ve got it, you’ll want to use it wisely.

Where to get the Master Ball in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

The Way Home plot is only accessed when players beat Scarlet and Violet in the main game. This means players have to beat the Elite Four, defeat every Titan Pokémon, and conquer all of Team Star’s bases in Palladia.

The Way Home story sends trainers to the Great Crater of Palladia, where they will encounter the Paradox Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Once this visit is complete, you will wake up in the Academy dorm room and Director Clavell will hand you a Master Ball in the game.

Given that you can only use the Master Ball once, you’ll want to save it for one of the Scarlet and Violet Legendary Pokémon. We recommend using this on a Ruined Quartet which are incredibly powerful in their own right.

Alternatively, Coradon and Miradon are not exclusive editions and after completing “The Way Home” story you’ll get a chance to grab the edition that isn’t on your game’s cover. It’s also a good idea to save the Master Ball for this unique match.
