World Cup items have dominated FIFA 23 Ultimate Team in recent weeks, bringing a steady stream of content to the mode. From Path to Glory cards to World Cup Phenoms, there’s a lot for FUT fans to get excited about.

Most of the new additions require coins or FIFA points to obtain, but EA is introducing a new special card to celebrate Qatar 2022 that’s absolutely free.

Here’s how to get the free World Cup History Makers card in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, and how their rating will increase over time.

What are the FIFA 23 World Cup History Makers?

World Cup History Makers is a new item in FIFA 23, inspired by the stars of Qatar 2022 and the football idols who paved the way for them. In total, there are 12 different players arriving as history makers, each linked to a World Cup hero or icon from the same nation.

• Virgil van Dijk and Robin van Persie (Netherlands)
• Federico Valverde and Diego Forlan (Uruguay)

• Jude Bellingham and David Beckham (England)
• Jordan Ayew and Michael Essien (Ghana)
• Raul Jimenez and Rafael Marquez (Mexico)
• Kai Havertz and Rudi Völler (Germany)
• Christian Pulisic and Clint Dempsey (USA)
• Pedri and Xabi Alonso (Spain)
• Wataru Endo and Hidetoshi Nakata (Japan)
• Salem Al Dawsari and Saeed Al Owairan (Saudi Arabia)

These cards will be given by eaand will not be available in packs or on the transfer market.

How to get the FIFA 23 World Cup History Maker card

All players must have played FIFA 23 before to get their FREE History Maker Player Tuesday, January 3, 2023, Simply logging into the game from your console or PC is enough to qualify for the offer, but the EA Play free trial and web app sadly don’t.

Card can be claimed anytime December 23, 2022, until January 3, 2023. After this date, a free pack will come to the store containing one of the current World Cup stars listed above, along with their Hero or Icon as a seven-game loan item.

Like most FUT packs, players are randomly drawn out, so there’s no way to tell who will walk out.

FIFA 23 World Cup history makers upgrade explained

As if getting a free World Cup card isn’t enough, each History Maker item will also receive two +1 rating upgrades. I will be the first January then in the second february,

This means that if you are lucky enough to get one of the highest rated players in the mix, you could easily end up with one of the best cards in the game to log.
