Hogwarts Legacy is set to be one of the best-selling games of 2023, as it enters Steam’s top five sellers weeks before launch.
It’s no secret that Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most anticipated games of 2023, as it seems fans of the Harry Potter franchise have been waiting for an open Wizarding World video game for several years.
Players can’t wait to explore Hogwarts and its grounds on a broomstick, as well as attend classes at the prestigious school of witchcraft and wizardry.
This is most evident when looking at Steam’s top-sellers for the new year, as we’re still a month away from release, but the game has managed to break into the top five even amid controversy.
Hogwarts Legacy in Steam’s Top 5 Best Sellers Chart
For the first week of January, pre-orders for Hogwarts Legacy landed the game in fourth place for Steam’s Global Top Sellers, sitting just below Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
This is surprising considering the fact that the game doesn’t launch until February 10th. In fact, these massive pre-order sales are headed by well-known gaming journalists. benzisales to predicting a “serious launch” for Hogwarts Legacy that will likely be one of the biggest releases of 2023.

So, with all of that said, Hogwarts Legacy looks like it could be set for some record-breaking sales for Steam and potentially consoles if it continues at this rate.
