Every new Pokemon in Scarlet & Violet: Starters, Legendary & Paradox Pokemon


Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduced several new Pokémon to fans of the franchise. There’s a lot to discover in the Paldia region, so here’s every new Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet.

A new generation of Pokémon has made its way to the Nintendo Switch with the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Expectations are high for this innovative open-world experience, and despite the gameplay improvements, all eyes will be on Scarlet and Violet’s new Pokémon.

Hype has spread around the new Pokémon of the ninth generation with the discovery of the Paradox Pokémon. As is the case with most new entries, Trainers also received some new Paldean variant Pokémon from previous generations.

With Scarlet and Violet came 107 new Pokémon, so let’s check them all out below.

  • Type: fire
  • Qualification: flame

Traditionally, Fire-type starter Pokémon are some of the most popular new introductions to a new title and Fukoko has big shoes to fill. This alligator-like Pokémon will look to emulate the popularity of the original Fire-type starter Charizard.

Quaxly Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
  • Type: Water
  • Qualification: Gush

Quaxly is a water-type starter of Scarlet and Violet and while it is clearly adorable, it is said to have a clean and fair nature. Since Quaxly is a Duckling Pokémon, many expected it to take on a Water/Flying dual-type as it evolved, but it instead receives a Water/Fighting type.

  • Type: grass
  • Qualification: get high

Sprigatito is constantly trying to get his trainer’s attention and its fur is said to be as fluffy as it can be. While Spaghettito’s evolutions retain some of their cute and cuddly behavior, they should be feared in battle.

Coradon and Miradon Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Coradon And Miraidon The first to appear were the Legendary Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. They have a bigger role in Scarlet and Violet than in Legendary Pokémon of the past, as you’ll be using their expertise to move around the Palladia region.

Coradon and Miredon are the game’s edition-exclusive Legendary Pokémon, and feature as such on the cover of each game.

Coradon is the traditional motif associated with Scarlet, while Miredon offers violet players a more modern look. The Scarlet and Violet sports mascots certainly look fierce and it’s no surprise that they have the in-game stats to prove their rarity.
