Are Pokemon Scarlet & Violet getting DLC?

DLC remains a relatively new concept for the Pokémon franchise and many players are wondering whether or not additional content will be coming to Scarlet and Violet.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet became the fastest-selling game in the storied franchise after its release in November. Trainers continue to test their skills in 2023 as the Paldia region offers much to explore.

Despite the three main story paths and additional content like Ranked Battle Stadium, Pokémon fans are always anticipating what’s next. Sword and Shield was the first game to give Pokémon DLC and many fans are wondering if Scarlet and Violet will also be getting the DLC treatment.

Is DLC Coming To Pokémon Scarlet And Violet?

This time There has been no official confirmation of DLC coming to Scarlet and Violet, Most fans remain hopeful that Sword and Shield receives a two-part DLC via the Expansion Pass.

Along with the Geographical Indication, there are interesting books in the Scarlet and Violet Academy libraries that reveal an unknown Paradox Pokémon. This strange Pokémon doesn’t appear in Scarlet and Violet, yet its description is found in the game, which could hint at a DLC appearance.

The mysterious text reads: “While separated from the research team in the depths of the crater, I found a strange … entity. Whether it was a Pokémon, or even alive, I don’t know. It bore a shell with layers of overlapping hexagons, and was still brighter than gemstones. Viewed as a whole, it looked like a mysterious, spectacular disc.”

The expected price for the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC is around $30. This was the price that Pokémon fans paid for the Sword and Shield Expansion Pass.

The Expansion Pass featured a two-part bonus that was released a few months apart, spreading out new content for players.

In the past, players would pay full price for a new game such as Platinum, Emerald, or Black and White 2 as the third entry of Pokémon Generations.
