Apex Legends dev provides major cross-progression update a year after announcement

Apex Legends has been waiting for news about the promised cross-progressive feature, and now one of the developers has finally provided an update regarding its arrival. game.

Since Apex Legends launched back in 2019, Respawn Entertainment has updated the game frequently with new content, including new Legends and Heirlooms, to keep things fresh.

It was confirmed that cross-progression would be coming to Apex Legends, but a year after it was announced the feature is still not in the game. Now, we’ve got our first big update in a long time regarding cross-progress.

On December 17, Alpha Intel posted a photo of senior producer Josh Medina’s 2021 tweet confirming that cross-progress for top legends is “in progress” with next-gen console support.

Josh Medina replied by calling his post “badly aged” before mentioning that those features are “still a work in progress”. This means that while cross-progression isn’t coming as soon as it’s liked by players, Respawn still intends to incorporate it into the game at some point.

Josh explained: “I made a tweeting mistake last year and it was constantly brought up and I had to crow over my words.” He then added that he is waiting to announce Cross-progress when it is “done and ready”.

Unfortunately, they didn’t provide any update on when cross-progression is actually going to be coming to Apex Legends. Any attempt to ascertain the date of its release in the game would be pure speculation at this point.

While this news may be disappointing for Apex players waiting for the feature, it’s comforting to know that Respawn Entertainment hasn’t given up. Hopefully, we will get to know more about its arrival in the near future.
