Quagsire is a fan-favorite Pokémon from Gen 2, but not all players know how to beat it. Here’s everything you need to know about Quagmire’s weaknesses and resistances in the Pokémon games.

Although Quagseir has been around in the Pokémon franchise for more than two decades, its Palladian cousin, Cloudseir, has been getting all the attention since the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Now, many trainers are wondering how to beat Quagsir in various games like Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in the popular Pokémon Go.

Here’s everything you need to know about Quagsire’s weaknesses, resistances, and immunities to defeat it in no time.

What type is Kwagsir?

Kwagsir is a duality Water and Ground-Type Pokémon introduced in gen 2 with pokemon gold and silver, While it is not an extremely popular type combination, it is shared with Mudkip’s development Marshtomp and Swampert, among others. With only one weakness and multiple resistances, this can be a huge asset in combat.

Quagsir was introduced in the Pokémon Gold and Silver games.

All Quagsire Weaknesses

As a dual water- and ground-type Pokémon, Quagsir is Weak only to grass-type attacks, While this may not sound like much, keep in mind that this is a double weakness (x4) since both Ground-type and Water-type Pokémon are weak against Grass-type moves.

all quagsier resistance

As a dual water- and ground-type Pokémon, Quagsir can Resist Poison, Rock, Steel and Fire type attacks, In mainline games, it is also resistant to electro-type moves, Since Pokémon Go does not work with Immunity, Electric-type moves in the mobile game are resisted by Kwagseer.

It is important to note that in the mainline game, Kwagsir can have a water absorption ability that makes it immune to water-type attacks as well.

Lastly, Quagseir can be a tough challenge for any trainer without a Grass-type Pokémon on their team. Its huge HP bar and high defense stat can be intimidating, but as long as trainers stick to neutral special damage and avoid resistant types, victory is guaranteed.
